Attach your lights to the fascia board or any standard cut 2 x ? (pronounced "2by") Or 1 x ? (pronounced "1by"): Fascia Board, Fencing, Decking, Boat Docks, Patio Covers, etc etc. "2by" size Kwik Clips will work on a 2x4, 2x6, or 2xAnySize as long as the board is 1 5/8" thick. A"1by" size clip will fit on a 1x2, 1x3, 1x4, 1xAnySize as long as the board is ¾” thick.
